Hulst, Netherlands

This project in Hulst involved a comprehensive interior transformation carried out within a one-month timeframe. With a total budget of €40,000, our team completed a full kitchen renovation, installed double patio doors in place of the original window, created a new entrance layout and delivered a complete turnkey upgrade of the living and dining areas.

The client’s main goal was to create a modern, functional open-plan space with a cohesive flow, improved natural light and consistently upgraded finishes throughout.

Kitchen Renovation – Modern Surfaces & Functional Layout

The kitchen was redesigned from the ground up, beginning with the removal of the old cabinetry, rewiring, plumbing preparation and construction of a more ergonomic layout. The new kitchen features dark wood-effect fronts paired with a concrete-style countertop and matching backsplash. This combination creates a sophisticated, contemporary look while remaining easy to maintain.

We installed a corner configuration with an integrated hob, built-in oven and tall storage units to maximise every centimetre of space. Matte-black fixtures, including the tap and sink, complement the deep tones of the cabinets and give the kitchen a clean, cohesive aesthetic. The extended peninsula provides generous workspace and serves as a visual separator between the kitchen and dining area, enhancing the open-plan feel of the ground floor.

New Double Doors – Bringing Light & Openness

One of the key structural upgrades was the installation of double patio doors to replace the former window. This required exterior adjustment, reinforcement of the opening and integration of new frames and glazing.

The new doors significantly transform the atmosphere of the space. They open the interior towards the garden, flood the room with daylight and create a seamless connection to the outdoor area — a major improvement to the overall layout. The doors also brighten the dining zone and make it more inviting, allowing it to function as a natural transition between the kitchen and garden.

Entrance Reconfiguration – Improved Flow & Accessibility

As part of the renovation, a new entrance arrangement was constructed to better suit the updated open-plan concept. This included adjustments to interior walls, electrical points and surface finishes to ensure a smooth flow from the entryway into the kitchen and living areas.

The redesign improves circulation, reduces visual clutter and allows the ground-floor layout to feel more unified and spacious.

Living Room Upgrade – Turnkey Finish with Warm, Natural Textures

The living room was fully renewed as part of the turnkey scope. All flooring was replaced with high-quality wood-effect panels in a soft grey tone, creating visual continuity with the kitchen and dining space. Walls and ceilings were refinished, new lighting points were prepared and all details — from skirting boards to sockets — were upgraded for a polished final outcome.

The updated living area balances modern materials with warm, natural textures. The room features comfortable new seating, earthy wooden furnishings and a clean, uncluttered layout that supports everyday living. Large windows and dark curtains create a cosy yet bright environment, ideal for relaxation or hosting guests.

Final Result

Within one month, the entire ground-floor living area was transformed into a modern, functional and visually cohesive space. The renovation successfully integrates:

  • a fully rebuilt kitchen with contemporary finishes;
  • newly installed double doors offering improved light and garden access;
  • a redesigned entrance area for better flow;
  • and a complete living room upgrade delivered as a turnkey interior.

This €40,000 investment resulted in a home that feels larger, brighter and significantly more refined — a long-term enhancement to both comfort and property value.
